The Arcantora duo is a flexible ensemble, ideally suited to playing at wedding ceremonies and for drinks receptions. Nina Kopparhed and Mark Wilson are highly versatile professional musicians: Nina is a soprano who also plays the viola and Mark plays violin, viola and piano. Arcantora offers highly contrasting programmes, covering baroque and classical music; film music; jazz and folk and pop music. The duo plays for weddings and functions all over the country.
Nina's singing is at the heart of Arcantora's performances. She is classically trained but is equally comfortable singing Handel or Eva Cassidy. Her beautiful tone has enchanted many a wedding guest, leading several to describe her as having the voice of an angel. Mark accompanies Nina on the piano or the violin and can also play for any hymns as required (he provides his own digital piano and amplifier if there's no piano at the venue).
Arcantora has an extensive repertoire of songs and instrumental duets, ranging from Bach and Mozart to Sinatra and Nat King Cole, as well as film and folk music (Braveheart, James Bond etc.). Music can be specially arranged on request ensuring you will hear your favourite song played on your wedding day!
